It's so easy to forget what you ate last night or even a few hours ago and look for something to ease your stress, or bring some pleasure to the current moment.

It's those moments when you get to remember a bigger commitment.  What is it that you really want.  Sometimes it just might be the bite of chocolate, but ultimately it is probably to be healthy,  to set a good example for your children, or to feel terrific when you get undressed.

If you give yourself enough time to keep eating in a supportive way to have the life you want, the thoughts that pull you to have one more treat, one more drink, just this little bit here, and here and here...then you will find it gets easier and more fun to eat things that make you look and feel your best.

Decide to be living the life that makes you happy.  Is it the mac and cheese that will win or would you be happier looking svelte and feeling incredible with more clarity and patience.  It's your choice.

Fun Fast Treats with Mochi - vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, macrobiotic

What is versatile, energizing and even gluten free?  That's right Mochi.  The fastest, cleanest, fun food, you probably have yet to eat.

I buy the from my local health food store.  Brown rice mochi is more nutritious than the white ones you might find in an Asian market.  (forget mochi ice cream - that's not what we're talking about here...)

You will get a lot of energy from this brown rice mochi.  It's a strenghtening and building food.  All new mom's should get it at their baby showers.  Plus it is so easy to enjoy.  Pop a square into your toaster oven to make quick snack.  Slice some and add to your evening meal for a cheesy texture and added satisfaction.  Put a few slices on a waffle iron for instant waffles or as I did this morning, fry some grated mochi up for a pancake.  I added grated apple with a little cinnamon and a dollop of maple sheep milk yogurt for a delicious and quick breakfast treat.  You are only limited by your imagination with mochi.  There is no wrong way to make it.

AhhSome Drinks - Vegan, Raw, Vegetarian, Macrobiotic, Gluten Free - Healthy Indulgence

What's the recipe for healthy drinking?  No sugar, no chemicals (remember "natural flavors means glutimates that you don't want...) and could even do something great for your beautiful body...

I wandered into Westerly's market last week after a wonderful lunch with my friend Aurorae.  Sad that she was moving back to L.A., I went in to grab a bulb of garlic for my dinner and ended up walking out with some incredible new drinks.

Ahhmigo ( has a brand new, ingeniously packaged green drink, that I would love to experiment with.  One bottle is a nice, refreshing alkalizer, but I am curious to see what sorts of results I would get from drinking one every day.  The ingredients are super supportive with no added sugars.  While I still love Harmless Harvest's sweet coconut water as a hydrating treat - I'd spend my $3 more readily on this new Ahhmigo beverage, just knowing I'm being more than refreshed for the moment, and boosting all of my cellular functions.
The smart package design puts the ingredients in the cap where they only get hydrated once you bop the top.
This potentially means that it is more like eating fresh raw juice that hasn't lost anything from sitting around oxidizing.

Try Ahhmigo yourself and let me know what you think.  It's even Kosher and the company doesn't work on Saturdays.  If you can't find it at your local market - I'm pretty sure they will let you order online.... and start asking for it at Whole Foods!  It's one of those products that I wish I had thought up myself.
