Natural Cough Cure

Here's a great tidbit I just pulled from the Archives:

Lotus root is fantastic for clearing out congestion and mucus but can be a little difficult to find.  What about Thyme?  Thyme is a popular herb and medicinal too.  It can relieve a cough, and indigestion and even fights candida.  It is also touted to soothe the mind.  I found this Thyme Cough syrup that says one teaspoon taken every hour will relieve a cough. 

Bring one cup of water to a boil and then turn off the heat.  Add 1 ½ Tablespoons of Thyme, put a lid on the pot and let it sit until cool.  Strain out the Thyme and add ½ Cup of Honey or Brown rice syrup.  Keep it in a glass jar in the refridgerator.  It will last for several months.
