My friend Gary who owns me yesterday how he has quickly sold out of many Japanese products since the tragedy in Japan happened. There are stories of a little hospital near Hiroshima where the people in the hospital did not have any radiation poisoning because they only had simple things to eat. Miso soup, brown rice and sea weeds protected them from the radiation.

Apparently people here were either worried that they might be faced with radiation or worried that there would be no more imports from Japan. Sea weeds grow in all of our oceans and kudzu is abundant in the south of the U.S. It might be productive to start harvesting what we have right here and support Japan as she has supported us all of these years. Or more.
