Late Summer into Fall - Seasonal Energy Part 1

I was just reading an article on Yahoo that talked about the new freshman class and how they don't wear wristwatches, email is too slow, they have only known telephones without cords and Curt Cobain has always been on the oldies station. For as long as I can remember technology was revered right along with celebrity. Sometimes I think we all forget that our bodies are adaptive yet were never made for modern living.

Everything in the world is made up of energy. That's first year chemistry. What appears solid is vibrating and is made of molecules that have space between them. You are taking in all sorts of energies all the time, every day and what you put into your body effects you - like it or not! Some things are going to build you up and make you feel great, but a whole lot of what is coming at you is depleting so your diet and mind set ought to be geared to either get you back to balance or enhance your well being. It's your choice.

One nice little tool to utilize is the 5 elements theory. Right now we are in late summer so I keep seeing people indulging in sweets. Late summer rules the spleen, stomach and pancreas so it seems kind of seasonal. Only too much ice cream and with the first cool days of fall, ruled by lungs, large intestine and you might find yourself coughing, sneezing and feeling run down. Nature always does a balancing act. So here are few things to recognize the late summer and fall seasons and tomorrow I'll give you some foods to eat that are associated with each.
